If you can see mould around the perimeters of your ceilings, it’s a likely sign the felt has expired and is no longer protecting the roof. If your roof hasn’t been replaced in 20-50 years then there is a high chance your felt needs replacing. We’ll be able to determine the extent of the work you will need and will discuss this with you on our site visit, followed up by an estimate of the cost for the works.

A new roof usually happens when you decide you want to replace the tiles or slates as well as the felt and battens underneath. If the tiles or slates are in good condition still, we will recommend reusing them and we will usually only require an extra 10-30% to allow for breakages, the cost difference could save you a small fortune!
